About the European Association for Integrative Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Integrative psychodynamic psychotherapy (IPP) is based on the integration of psychodynamic knowledge about person and methods and techniques of various psychotherapeutic approaches. IPP embraces first and foremost a particular attitude towards the practice of psychotherapy which affirms the importance of a unifying approach to persons. Thus a major focus is on responding appropriately and effectively to the person at the emotional, spiritual, cognitive, behavioural and physiological levels… The basis of this approach is work on the development of basic emotional competencies.
